Privacy policy

Last updated: 5 September 2026

Verreso runs this store and website, including its content, features and products, to sell to you and to serve you well. The store is powered by Shopify. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit the site, place an order or contact us. It also explains how we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have.

If anything in our Terms of Service conflicts with this policy, this policy applies to how we handle your personal information.

What we collect

Personal information means anything that identifies you or could reasonably be linked to you. Depending on how you use the store, we may collect:

  • Contact details: your name, email address, delivery address, billing address and phone number.
  • Payment details: the payment method you use and confirmation that the payment went through. We never see or store your full card number. Payments are handled by Shopify and its payment providers.
  • Order details: what you bought, when, at what price, and any returns or exchanges.
  • Messages: anything you send us by email or through the contact form, including reviews you submit.
  • Device details: your IP address, browser, device type and similar identifiers.
  • Usage details: the pages you view, the products you look at or add to your cart, and how you move around the site.

Where it comes from

  • From you, when you place an order, sign up for emails, leave a review or contact us.
  • Automatically, from your device when you use the site, through cookies and similar technology.
  • From our service providers, such as Shopify, our payment providers and our delivery partners, when they process information on our behalf.
  • From advertising platforms, such as Meta, when you arrive at the store from one of our ads.

How we use it

  • To run the store: taking payment, dispatching your order, sending order and delivery updates, handling returns and exchanges, and publishing reviews you have submitted.
  • To help you: answering your questions and sorting out any problem with an order.
  • To improve the store: understanding which pages and products work well and which do not.
  • To send you offers, only where you have agreed to it. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email.
  • To show you relevant ads on other platforms, based on your activity on the site, where the law allows and you have not opted out.
  • To keep the store safe: spotting and stopping fraud, and meeting our legal and accounting obligations.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only where we need to, and we never sell it. We share it with:

  • Shopify, which hosts the store and processes orders and payments.
  • Payment providers, to take your payment and stop fraud.
  • Delivery partners, to get your order to your door.
  • Email and messaging tools, to send order updates and, if you have opted in, offers.
  • Advertising and analytics platforms, such as Meta, so we can measure our ads and show you relevant ones.
  • Professional advisers and authorities, where the law requires it or to protect our rights or the rights of others.

If the business is ever sold or merged, your information may pass to the new owner under the same protections.

Shopify's role

Shopify hosts the store and processes information about your visits and orders in order to provide and improve its services. Information you enter on the site is passed to Shopify and to the providers it works with, some of which may be outside the United Kingdom. Shopify may also use information about your interactions with our store, with other stores and with Shopify to provide certain features to us. For those purposes Shopify is responsible for the processing. You can read the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy for more detail.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them to keep the store working, remember your cart, understand how the site is used and measure our advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the store, such as the cart and checkout, from working.

Links to other sites

The site may link to websites we do not run, for example Royal Mail tracking or social media. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.

Children

The store is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their details, email us and we delete them.

Security and how long we keep it

The store runs on Shopify's secure platform, and payments are handled by certified payment providers. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send card details by email.

We keep order records for as long as we need them for accounting, tax and legal reasons. Marketing contact details are kept until you opt out. Everything else is kept only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • Access: ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: ask us to fix anything inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Deletion: ask us to delete your personal information, apart from records we must keep by law.
  • Restriction and objection: ask us to stop or limit how we use your information for certain purposes, including direct marketing.
  • Portability: receive your information in a usable format, or ask us to pass it to another provider.
  • Withdraw consent: where we rely on your consent, withdraw it at any time. This does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.

To use any of these rights, email contact@verreso.com. We may need to confirm your identity first. Using your rights never counts against you, and we respond within one month.

Marketing choices

We only send offers by email if you have agreed to receive them. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also email us to opt out. We still send you emails about your orders, such as confirmations and delivery updates.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, email contact@verreso.com first and we will do our best to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

International transfers

Some of the providers we use, including Shopify, store or process information outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by safeguards recognised under UK law, such as an adequacy decision or approved standard contract clauses.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example when our providers change. We post the new version here and update the date at the top.

Contact

For any question about privacy, or to use your rights, email contact@verreso.com. For the purposes of UK data protection law, Verreso is the data controller of your personal information.
